SUMMARY AS OF: 4/1/2008 Passed/agreed to in House. Status: On motion to suspend the rules and agree to the resolution, as amended Agreed to by voice vote.
States that any comprehensive Middle East peace agreement must resolve all outstanding issues relating to the legitimate rights of all refugees in the Middle East, including Jews, Christians, and other displaced populations.
States that the President should instruct the U.S. Representative to the United Nations and all U.S. representatives in bilateral and multilateral fora to: (1) use U.S. influence to ensure that Middle East refugee resolutions which include a reference to the required resolution of the Palestinian refugee issue must also include a similarly explicit reference to the resolution of the issue of Jewish, Christian, and other refugees from Arab countries; and (2) make clear that the U.S. government supports the position that as an integral part of any comprehensive Arab-Israeli peace the issue of refugees from the Middle East, North Africa, and the Persian Gulf must include recognition of the legitimate rights of and losses incurred by all refugees displaced from Arab countries including Jews, Christians, and other minority groups.
NOTE: This landmark document acknowledges the right of all refugees created by the Arab-Israeli conflict.

SUPPORT House Resolution 758 (H Res. 758)
House Resolution 758 (H.Res. 758) calls on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, also chairman of his Fatah Party, to officially renounce ten articles in the Fatah Constitution that call for Israel’s destruction and acts of terrorism against its people.
The Fatah Constitution opposes any political solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and it labels Zionism as racism. Other examples of the offensive language among the ten separate articles that explicitly seek to incite violence against the state of Israel include the following:
- Article 17 ("armed public revolution is the inevitable method to liberating Palestine")
- Article 19 ("the struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished")
- Article 22 ("opposing any political solution offered as an alternative to demolishing the Zionist occupation of Palestine")
We SUPPORT House Resolution 758 (H. Res. 758) which calls on PA President Abbas to renounce ten articles that call for Israel’s destruction and acts of terrorism.

SAMPLE MESSAGE:
Dear Congressman,
I hope you will co-sponsor H. Res. 758 calling for accountability from the Palestinians. The PLO Charter (Constitution) calls for incitement to violence and the destruction of Israel and its people. By co-sponsoring this resolution, you will make a statement that will express the opinion of millions of Americans against submitting to wanton calls in the Palestinian Constitution for the eradication of the state of Israel. This demand particularly applies to the upcoming Annapolis Summit that will ask for millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to go to the Palestinians and promises them statehood, while at the same time they continue to profess their underlying “death wish” for the state of Israel.
Rep. Blunt said, “As long as Mahmoud Abbas and the Fatah Party continue to promote the wholesale destruction of Israel, there can be no possibility for peace – whether in our time, or any other.”
As long as the Palestinian Constitution remains in effect in its current form, it is preposterous to assume that the Palestinians have any intention for peaceful coexistence.
Respectfully,
