Please respond to blatantly anti-Semitic Oliphant Political cartoon that appeared in the online edition of the New York Times this week. The Times email is read by millions. It is creating a furor worldwide. Therefore it is especially important that we protest and let them know they are contributing to a culture of anti-Semitism which we believe is intolerable.

To: The New York Times Online, Political cartoon satirists, when they cross a line, become instigators of hatred. I believe Oliphant is intending to incite hatred against Israel with this controversial cartoon. The ghastly cartoon depicting a "Jew as a Nazi" is beyond egregious. It probably says more about the New York Times and Oliphant than it does about the despicable nature of the cartoon itself. Everything is subject to interpretation and this cartoon lends itself to a particular view you may not have yet considered. The headless Nazi-like figure wielding a sword might very well represent Hamas as the oppressor of the Palestinian people living within Israel! Gazans are victims daily of Hamas atrocities against their expendable brethren! To witness the "compassion" of the Hamas terrorists upon their own moderate brothers and sisters, see "Hamas militia destroys a wedding party in Beit Hanoun" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvEDj7MweBs ! It shows actual footage of the murderous abuse of Gazans by Hamas butchers you will never forget. The world is indebted to Hamas and other Islamic Jihadists for giving us photos of such bloody examples of 7th century barbarism for which they proudly claim credit. How fortunate we "Jewish and Christian Infidels" have video clips to enable us to witness first-hand deaths by stoning, be-headings, honor killings of disobedient daughters, and the mutilation of IDF soldiers after brutally and publicly murdering them and other Jews and Christians openly in the streets. These killings and the bloody hands of the murderers - Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah - are proudly raised and photographed. The films are valuable witnesses to the way Islamic extremists mete out corporal punishment under Sharia law. Welcome to the world of Jihad and the cult of death by martyrs who are trained to die by killing infidels for Allah. What about this scenario does the civilized West, based on Judeo-Christian values, not understand? Why does most of the media, including Oliphant, ignore this? Instead they use our precious freedom of speech and press to favor the oppressors, the radical Wahhabi Jihadists, and castigate the victims, Israel and the United States. Perhaps they subscribe to this mentality. Would they like to bring this form of Sharia justice to the US? Do they really want to see us publicly chopping off heads and people`s limbs for real or imagined minor infractions of Sharia Law? This cartoon can only make one wonder. The Oliphant cartoon is a grossly inappropriate distortion of events in Gaza. Can you imagine the uproar such a cartoon would evoke if it were directed against Saudi Arabia and published there where even bibles or churches are NOT allowed (even though we protect them today with US troops stationed there?) If a blasphemous cartoon were to be distributed in the Muslim world attacking the Radical Islamic Movement, you can be sure that "heads would literally roll." Signed,
