Dear Prime Minister Netanyahu, I wish you success on your trip to Washington DC and in your meeting with President Obama. The fate of western civilization is in your able hands and we urge you to stand strong in behalf of Israel`s security. These are grave times in our history, resonant of Europe in the 1930s. May G-d grant you success. May your words on behalf of Israel come from your heart and be accepted by the Obama administration. Below I repeat direct quotes of prominent Palestinians who have rejected the "Two State Solution" in favor of their vision for a Middle East without a Jewish State - devoid of any Jewish presence. All statements claim that Jordan is a Palestinian State: "Palestine and Transjordan are one, for Palestine is the coastline and Transjordan the hinterland of the same country." - King Abdullah, at the Meeting of the Arab League in Cairo, 12th April 1948 "We here in Jordan, led by our great king [al-Husayn] are the government of Palestine, the army of Palestine, and we are the refugees." - PM of Jordan, Hazza al-Majali, August 1959 "Let us not forget the East Bank of the (River) Jordan, where seventy per cent of the inhabitants belong to the Palestinian nation." - George Habash, leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a division of the PLO, writing in the PLO publication Sha-un Falastinia, February 1970 "Palestine is Jordan and Jordan is Palestine; there is one people and one land, with one history and one and the same fate." - Prince Hassan, brother of King Hussein, addressing the Jordanian National Assembly, 2nd February 1970 "We consider it necessary to clarify to one and all, in the Arab world and outside, that the PALESTINIAN PEOPLE with its nobility and conscience is to be found HERE on the EAST Bank (of the Jordan River)…Its overwhelming majority is HERE and nowhere else." - King Hussein, quoted in An-Hahar, Beirut, 24th August 1972 "Arab history makes no distinction between Jordanians, Syrians and Palestinians. Most of them hail from the same Arab race, which arrived in the region with the Arab Moslem conquest." - Editorial Comment in the Jordanian Armed Forces` weekly, Al-Aqsa, Amman, 11th July 1973 "...those fishing in troubled waters will not succeed in dividing our people, which extends to both sides of the (River) Jordan, in spite of the artificial boundaries established by the Colonial Office and Winston Churchill half a century ago." - Yassir Arafat, in a statement to Eric Roleau As recently as May 7, 2009 the PLO ambassador to Lebanon addressed the two-state solution: "With the two-state solution, in my opinion, Israel will collapse... They consider Jerusalem to have a spiritual status.... Judea and Samaria to be their historic dream. If the Jews leave those places, the Zionist idea will begin to collapse. It will regress of its own accord. Then we will move forward." - PLO Ambassador to Lebanon, Abbas Zaki On April 7, 2008, when an interviewer challenged Zaki`s superior, Fatah Leader Abu Mazen (Mahmood Abbas), Zaki said: "Perhaps Abu Mazen, in his position, needs to use diplomatic language, but he is the greatest critic of the U.S." Prime Minister Netanyahu, please take into consideration the words of the Palestinian leaders who firmly declare that the Palestinians already have a state, and it is called Jordan. And that officials openly say the two-state solution will mean the end of Israel. Perhaps you can remind President Obama of these declarations during the time of your negotiations.
