Malcolm Hedding holds a Bachelor in Theology Degree, and is a credentialed minister of the Assemblies of God of Southern Africa. He has served in this capacity for 25 years and during this period, has been involved in teaching about Israel.
From 1986 to 1989 Malcolm served in Jerusalem on the pastoral team of the Jerusalem Christian Assembly, now known as the "King of Kings Assembly", and held the position of Chaplain at the I.C.E.J.
Upon his return to South Africa in 1989, he planted the Olive Tree Assembly of God in Durban and continued to be involved with the I.C.E.J. as a speaker at Feasts and Congresses.
Malcolm served from 1991 - 2000 as Chairman of "Christian Action for Israel," a biblical Zionist organization founded in 1975 by the late Basil Jacobs, who also was one of the "founding members" of the ICEJ in 1980.
Malcolm and his wife, Cheryl, moved to Jerusalem at the beginning of January 2001 to take the position of Executive Director. They have three children - two of whom are already living in Israel. They also have a married daughter who lives in Great Britain, with her husband and son.
