Yedidya Atlas, 48, is a senior correspondent and commentator for Arutz Sheva (Channel 7) Israel National Radio, Israel's only independent national radio station, based in Beit El and broadcasting from a ship in int'l waters off the coast of Israel, and live over the internet (www.IsraelNationalNews.com) throughout the world.

Atlas, a respected journalist and lecturer, specializes in geostrategic and geopolitical aspects of the Arab-Israel conflict and Middle Eastern affairs. His articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines on five continents, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, Insight Magazine, Midstream, The Jerusalem Post, Makor Rishon and Nativ. His articles have been reprinted by Israel's Foreign Ministry, The U.S. Overseas Information Service and in The U.S. Congressional Record.

Over the past two decades, he has lectured extensively before a wide gamut of organizations, institutions and communities, throughout North America. He has also appeared regularly on American media programs, and has given special briefings to members and staff of both Senate and House of the Congress.

The author of "Harsh Realities" (C.M. Publishing, 1989) and the co-author of "Israel In Medialand" (The Jerusalem Post, 1988), Atlas edited the monthly analytical newsletter: "Realities" (C.M. Publishing, 1993-94). prior to joining Arutz-7 on a full-time basis.

A reserve officer in the Israel Defense Forces, Yedidya Atlas resides in the town of Beit El north of Jerusalem with his wife Batya, a sixth generation Israeli, and their seven children.
